Born 1974

Helle Frogner is creative director of the Norwegian design brand Fabel. She lives and works with high-end fashion, from the remote farmers and fishing community, Ervik, on the most western coast of Norway. Her work reflects the vast contrast between extreme environment by the North Sea and hectic international city life.

Frogner holds a degree in Social Anthropology from The University of Oslo. After working with film, she continued her education in art and photography, and became a photographer. Coming from a home with long textile tradition, she went into the business to bring on the heritage of Fabel.

Last spring Helle Frogner left Oslo to settle by the ocean with her family, to advance the project in a new setting – fulfilling a dream.
